At 9am we have a welcome briefing and those who have ordered bike rental will get fitted with our bikes and other equipment. To avoid cycling with traffic in Triest we suggest to take a ferry from Triest to Muggia, departure times are: 10:10am and 11:20, duration 30 minutes, price per person+bike EUR 5.80.
From Muggia you will cycle along the coastline passing Ankaran and then joining a traffic free asphalted cycle path - the former narrow-gauge railway line Parenzana which penetrates deeply into the Istrian peninsula connecting 33 Istrian towns between Porec and Trieste, located today on the territory of even three states. Trail goes along the coast, passing through towns of Koper, Izola and Piran. Make a stop in Piran, the pictouresque town known for its medieval architecture and vibrant atmosphere. Explore the narrow streets and visit landmarks like St. George’s Church, which offers panoramic views of the Adriatic Sea. Overnight in Piran / Portorose.

You will cycle all along Piran Bay through Portorož and Lucija towns to Sečovlje Salt Pans. The Sečovlje salts pans are the northernmost salt flats in the Mediterranean. The salt is produced in the traditional way based on a 700-year-old method that harmonizes man and nature. You can visit it's museum. After you cross Slovenian - Croatian border Parenzana will take uphill along the gravel trail where you can enjoy the view on the whole bay with saltworks and the alps in the background.
Road will take you to Savudrija lighthouse, according to the legend build by count Metternich as his love nest. Savudrija is one of the oldest lighthouses in the Adriatic, built in 1818. It is also the northernmost Istrian lighthouse. Continue through town of Umag and all along the Istrian coastline until you reach Novigrad. Located on the western coast of the Istrian Peninsula in Croatia, is a charming coastal town known for its blend of history, culture, and seaside beauty. Once a small fishing village, Novigrad has retained its authentic atmosphere while offering plenty for visitors. Overnight in Novigrad.

Today you are passing by Mirna river delta and riding along the coastline with beautiful bays where you can enjoy the breathtaking Mediterranean landscape with green olive groves. After 25 km you will reach town of Poreč. This is a town where you can find material and spiritual evidences of great cultures at every step. Ride along the old city center where you will find the Roman Forum, magnificent palaces from different historical periods, and to top it all, the famous Euphrasian Basilica (Euphrasiana). Continue riding along the coast to reach Vrsar, a beautiful fisherman town preched on a hill, offering stunning views on the coast and islands. Take time ti visit the old town, St. Martin's church, or relax at the marina. Vrsar is known for its artistically significant history and its connection to the famous Italian adventurer who came back event two times.Following the trail along the vineyards and small villages you are back in Poreč.
