Do you have departures dates for the self guided trips or can I start any time?

Self guided tours can start any day you prefer from April to November. Some self guided trips are also available in March and November.

Are the roads safe for cycling? What are the road conditions?

We carefully design routes that are not only scenic but we also pay attention to safety. We mostly stay on the backroads. On some itineraries, there may be sections of the route where you will have to cross a busy intersection or maybe share the road with traffic for a short stretch, especilly when approaching the town or in the town centre. More traffic can be expected during months of July and August as this is a high tourist season. Most of our routes use paved roads and some section on dedicated bike paths. On some itineraries, we may use bike paths or backroads that include stretches of hard-packed dirt or gravel.

How about difficulty of the tours?

Please be reassured that an average fitness is absolutely fine for most of our tours.

To best enjoy your tour, you should be riding your bike at least every week and be comfortable spending time on the saddle! Please check difficulty level for each tour on our website or check with us which tour is the best fit for you.

Which tour types you offer?

We offer self guided, semi guided and guided tours.

Self guided trips: you can choose your start date, we book lodging in requested category, provide bikes and neccessary equipment for rental, transfer your luggage from hotel to hotel, provide roadbook in digital form (printed roadbook only if ordered in advance) and Fiore App for offline navigation with voice guidance and information about the POI’s. Advangage of self guided tours: You leave every morning when you wish, excited by cycling on your own, choose the pace you want, enjoy exploring towns and villages without rushing.

Semi guided tours: if you like self guided style but need some more support, you can opt for a semi guided option. We will add a support van with English speaking driver who will provide assistance during your activities and make sure everything goes smootly with your trip. In case of rain or you feel tired or you have a flat tyre or a mechanical problem with the bike, a driver with the van will be around to help you. We can included some extra activities and experiences in the tour programe. This option is very good for small groups and families.

Guided tour: you have to leave in the morning at the certain time, respect the daily group activities (tastings, meals, activities, visits), you will have a guide who will share insight at each destination, support van in case you get tired.

When is the best time of year for cycling?

Spring in Croatia is sublime and April, May and June are absolutely lovely. Autumn is probably best time of year as the landscape is made up of a gold and red pallet so September and October are unmissable. July and August can be hot so you will have to start early to miss the heat of the day, although the towns and villages are busier with many seasonal festivals on which is great. During July and August you can expect much more traffic on the road and crowds in the towns and on the beach.

Where can I leave review?

We welcome feedback after the tour as it’s the best way to get better and improve our service. Once you have completed your trip with Fiore tours, you will receive an e-mail from us how and where to review your experience with Fiore tours.

When can I check in?

Check-in times are determined by the accommodation. Some may allow an early check-in where available, but generally, check-in will be from 15:00 / 3pm. If you’ll be late checking in, please contact the accommodation or us.

Is the tap water safe to drink? Do you provide water bottle?

We provide a water bottle to each participant free of charge. Bottles you will receive during welcome meeting with Fiore representative.

Tap water is a better choice than bottled water. When filling the bidon, use tap water. When you need a refill on the way, look for a drinking fountain or ask at a café to have it filled with tap water. It’s free, does not come in a plastic container and, in most places, it is just as good or even better than bottled water.

Where can I do laundry on the route?

Most of the hotel provide laundry service. Check your accommodation website to see what services may be available during your stay. If you are staying in a larger town, there will likely be laundry facilities as well.
